Project Description

project description

SITBOLAB is a Georgian online store for boiler and gas-equipment spare parts — gas valves, sensors, fans, ignition electrodes, pumps and the small components that keep a heating system running. The client arrived with a finished Figma design and two non-negotiable requirements: the site had to match that design pixel for pixel, and it had to run on WordPress.

THE STORY

Most WordPress stores start from a ready-made theme and get bent towards a design until "close enough" is accepted. That was not an option here. The client had invested in a detailed Figma design and expected to see exactly that design in the browser — every spacing value, font size, colour and state — on every screen size.

So the theme was written from scratch. There is no page builder and no purchased theme underneath: every template, from the header and the category catalogue to the product page and the personal space, is hand-written PHP, CSS and JavaScript built against the Figma file. WooCommerce stays the engine under the hood — products, stock, orders and checkout — while the theme takes full ownership of how all of it looks and behaves.

The result is a store the client can run like any WordPress site — adding products, managing orders, editing content in the familiar admin — while customers see a fast, distinctive storefront that looks nothing like a template.

OUR APPROACH

The project was built around three things: pixel-perfect fidelity to the client's design, a shopping flow without page reloads, and a codebase the client fully owns.

• Pixel-perfect from Figma: every page was built against the client's Figma file and checked side by side at desktop, tablet and mobile widths until the browser matched the design.

• Custom theme, no page builder: a hand-coded WordPress theme with its own templates and markup — lightweight, with nothing loaded that the design does not use.

• Light and dark mode: a one-click theme switch in the header recolours the entire store, from the catalogue to the product gallery.

• Shopping without reloads: add-to-cart with a quantity stepper and favourites both run over AJAX through the theme's own endpoints, with live counters in the header.

• Category catalogue: a persistent sidebar catalogue with expandable sub-categories, plus list and grid views and sorting on every category page.

• Sticky header without layout jumps: the compact header is pre-rendered and simply faded in on scroll, so the page never shifts while the visitor scrolls.

• Product pages: a swipeable image gallery with zoom, automatic sale badges with the discount percentage, stock status and a similar-products slider that only shows its arrows when there is something to scroll.

• Personal space: sign-in, registration and password recovery in a single modal, without leaving the page.

• One SVG icon system: every icon on the site comes from a single inline SVG sprite, so icons stay sharp on any screen and recolour instantly with the theme.

• Built for Georgia: Georgian-first interface, prices in Georgian Lari (₾) and a KA / EN / RU language switcher.

• SEO and delivery: Rank Math SEO on every product and category, and the whole site runs as a Docker deployment on a VPS.
